Paid employment has become increasingly significant in the lives of women. The present study was conducted to compare the level of Emotional maturity and self-esteem among employed and non-employed women. The study also attempts to find out the relationship between emotional maturity and self-esteem. The sample consisted of 30 employed and 30 non-employed women in the age range of 30-50 years. The results showed no significant difference between the emotional maturity of employed and non-employed women. Employed women were found to be significantly higher on self-esteem than non-employed women (t=5.538). A positive correlation (r=0.076) was found between the emotional maturity and self-esteem of employed and non-employed women.Keywords
